Riad, I think you may have me confused with Dale. He can make it to Rausch in 2 hours. Takes me a bit over 3. :D

Wow, you moved again?

Dan,

Are you saying that I drive fast. It's not that I drive fast, it's that I don't drive a 40 anymore. :D

crave + drive = drave? :D

Dave,

You are correct. I do miss driving the 40 in 90 plus degree heat, and the single digit fuel mileage.:D

Late Change in Location!!!!!!

Lylia can't make it so we are free to camp in a more manly fashion at BK's cabin. I've PM'd the cabin location to everyone who is coming; PM me by Friday morning if you don't have the location or PM BK. I'll have my propane shower so bring some shorts to shower in and D batteries and propane would be appreciated.

Riad,

Sorry for the late confusion. We will meet at BK's at 9:00.

No problem Bob. I just wanted to be sure. Got the directions, we will see you guys in the morning.

Thanks:cheers:

That was an awesome GWNF trip . I was surprised to see the tough conditions of the trails. I haven't been there for many years. It has become quite a cool playground.

It was great to see some old faces as well as nice to meet some new ones.

I forgot my camera but took some pix with my Blackberry. Here's the link:Picasa Web Albums - Riad - GWNF June 7, ...

Others had cameras, I'm sure they will upload pix soon.

Thanks

Whew! Thanks to everyone who came out today. It was a great time despite the heat. Time to go lick my wounds. Will post pics tomorrow.

Ok. I'm officially jealous! :p My 40 is wheel-less and brake-less sitting on four jack stands in my garage...all for a good reason, tho...Anyway, I can't wait to see pix! I hope to join you on the trails sometime in the future as my Tank is getting closer to becoming trail-worthy. :grinpimp:

Get new springs! :D The first trail was awesome. You'll see the big mud pit in pics. It was nice scenery too. The second trail was a testament to fortitude if you had a 40. Very rocky. I thought for sure Big Red was going to fall to pieces. At the end, there were a few pucker moments for this rookie. Again, you'll see the pics.

P.S. I need bigger tires and a locker.

Actually, new springs are gonna happen soon. I wonder if now, since my wheels are all off and I'm on stands, would be a good time to install them? I wanna be like you, Dave, and am getting the 2.5" lift. :bounce::grinpimp::bounce2: Luckily I have relatively new shackles/pins/bushings so the install should be easy (famous last words)
Tires are gonna max out at 31x10.5 for a while, tho. Gotta get the most out of this thing before our daughter arrives in the Fall!

Thanks all for a good time and especially BK for his hospitality, oh yeah, and Dave too for organizing this goat rope.

Good to meet everyone. I am looking forward to the fall trip. Dave you did such a good job with the spring/summer trip, you gonna plan the fall trip? Thank you BK. What a great place!

Thanks Jesse. I was just the motivation for the trip. Bob helped me a lot in planning and BK did the trail. Thanks BK for leading! I'd like to do something in the fall. I need to get bigger tires first. :D I had cruiser mod envy. :steer:

P.S. And for you guys bitching about your Aussie/Lockrite lockers (you know who you are), I bet you're glad you had them. :D
