Hi Ryan. Since we are in the holiday season, we will be having our next meeting on January 9th, rather than next week. It is usually difficult to get everyone together this time of year. But we look forward to hearing from you next summer!

moved to the 9th of january ! would like to see you make it to the meeting :lol::bounce2:

Hey All!

Been a lurker on MUD for years, just bought my first cruiser (LX 450) a few months ago. Took it into Pedersen Toyota for a little PM and my service advisor introduced me to Frank... who directed me to the Horsetooth Cruisers.

Here is a pic of my new rig. Hope to make it to a meeting or trail run sometime this summer, work permitting.

Welcome. What happened to the taco? And ever do anything with that ding on the tailgate from the dumpster after that seven mile run?

Hey Dave.

Tacoma lost a wheel while pulling my camper down I-25... mechanic did not torque down the lug nuts a few days prior. Ended up with the Tundra in the deal so all is good.

And no I never fixed the dent in the tailgate :flipoff2:

How ya like the rock warrior? My brother has a white one. Ome lift, 34" Toyo my for hunting season, arb bumper and warn winch.

Suspension, bumper, and winch the only mods of the Lexus? Does it have lockers?

Want any led lights? Got a few pairs to sell.

I have seen your brothers RW around town, very nice. Keeping mine stock to pull the camper.

No Lockers. I have been looking for an 80 since last fall. When this one came up down in Golden, I could not pass it up. Tons of paperwork for all maintenance and it was in really good condition inside and out. The guy I bought it from was a true land cruiser junkie, he was selling it because he just bouight a 200 series. I plan on adding ARB's and re-gearing in the future when I switch to 35's.

Bumper, Sliders, Winch, Stereo, and Lift are the only mods that the previous owner had done.

Since purchase, I have added the CDL switch & 7pin, replaced the heavy rear springs with mediums, found a stock rim for a spare, fixed various little things (tail gate lock actuator, cup holder, etc...), as well as a few maintenance items. The Slee headlight harness and a set of 9011/9012 bulbs will be going in this weekend, and the front axle needs to be rebuilt in the not so distant future.

What kind of LED lights do you have for sale? Interior? or Light bar? I may be interested, PM me some more info.

Welcome! Not sure if you are a DIY kind of guy but I can lend you the axle nut tool for the front axle job as long as you don't keep it for too long. Nice rig too!

Thanks for the offer. If I decide to tackle the axle myself I will go ahead and order the correct socket, I think they were only like $30. My work situation this summer may not allow me to take any time off, so I may have to have the work done.

EDIT: I think I may have talked to you about your rig a few months ago when I was searching. Do you know Dustin (black turbo'd jetta)?

Hello all,

Just moved back to Loveland after several years away. Picked up my 97 80 from another forum member the day before we moved.
Had the wife's Prius at Pederson today and met Ryan, who gave me a nifty card for the club. Look forward to meeting more of you, and hopefully joining up soon.

Welcome to the mud site. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hello thought I would say hello
I have never been to a meeting or a run but I'm thinking about getting more involved
I have loved landcruisers sinse I was 13 - it's what I wanted. I caddied to save up money and when I was 16 I had around 2500 saved up (1988) I lived in green mountain and my dad and I looked all over at every available cruiser (fj40) around $3500
Every single one had major issues except one - a horizon blue one, original owner for sale by the widow in the Thornton area for $3200 it was almost in perfect condition
I lined up for my dad to take a look that night but it sold before we got there. I was heart broken
After about 6 months of looking I was getting desperate I had been driving my parents car around far too long and so I bought a car. One of my biggest regrets to date was not looking more. i'm still impatient but learned a valuable lesson if I look at something that looks decent I buy it.
I have owned a 73 fj40 that I kind of fixed up definately not a restoration but it looked great all stock and ran pretty good. We were expecting our first child and the real estate market was slowing down so I sold it.
I have also owned A 96 80 series a 2000 100 series and now a locked 97 and a 1964 fj40 I just acquired
I have spent 1000s and 1000s of miles off road but 90% has not been on 4 wheels
I grew up riding and racing enduros on dirt bikes but I'm 41 and want to start getting into something the family can do together .
We just moved to ft collins in old town and I would love to come to a meeting and meet some people that are into this. I know I will have questions about my 40 and really just love these trucks.
I'm interesting in just doing some lighter stuff a stock rig can do as I want to keep my 40 mostly stock

Here is a picture of my 64 right before I picked it up a couple weeks ago it looks the same for the most part as I spent time cleaning and just figuring out what it needs

Thanks and hopefully I will come to the next meeting as it looks like I just missed one

Nice. Those rear windows are cool on those early models. Welcome!

I guess i should sign the guest book. I will be heading your way around the beginning of May. I wil be in North West WY (Yellowstone) for about 5 months. I will be making my way out there in my 94 FJ80. I built a little sleeping platform and will be trying to sleep int the truck on the way to WY. Once there i have pace to stay but i am looking forward to exploring during my free time. And I should have a lot of free time. I think the limiting factor will be how much gas i can afford. Any suggestions of palaces to wheel or explore in NW WY are always welcome.

New to the horse tooth area some of you know me like john Schroeder bob opdyke and possibly a few others I need to be more envolved outside of my bubble so stop by and say hello
