I've had these two pieces for a while now, but they don't get as much use as I'd like. They were my grandfather's and have some history. Aluminum. Very light weight. But I don't have lids or a great way to remove them from a stove top.

Wondering if anyone else has anything similar and if so how do you use yours?

Do they have the same diameter?
I think you can place the smaller one upside down on top of the larger one, therefore creating a dome shaped lid, in which you can have a larger piece of meat.
I use something similar, but made out of ceramic. Season the meat, add some wine and vegetable oil, place it inside the oven for a few hours and it comes out very delicious.

It's probably made for personal use, but I think you got a pot and a lid, which can be used as a pan too.
You probably need some handles for it, if you plan on using it in a fire pit. Not sure how it would handle high heat (hot coals for ex).

Wow, thanks Dragos80 - that's perfect!

I don't think I would put these in a fire, but they'd be great on The camp stove. Just as light as the crappy Teflon pot I have that I can't stand.

Leaving for a trip a week from today. I'm going to order one of these handles and hope it gets here in time.

Yeah, I've searched a couple of times in passing and noticed the clear plastic lids. I've never searched for the handle, but just found a few on ebay. These things have been sitting way in the back of a cabinet for a year or two. Noticed them this morning when I was pulling some things out.
