anyone know where in town i can get my grinder motor fixed? i got a good Dewalt years ago, but the motor is making terrible noises. i've worked that poor thing really hard. if it can be fixed, no need to buy a $125 new one.

cruiser content, i need it to work on Project 16.:flipoff2:

yes, the brushes ride on that part. the problem is, it runs slow and with low power. no wonder why. but it won't work anymore. i guess i'll pick up a new one tomorrow.

You should have added the latter description in your first post :flipoff2: Jon, do still want to look at your two dead ones?

well, it was making a lot of noise too. didn't know where the problem was 'till i took it apart yesterday.

I have a feeling that at least one of my dead grinders will have the same problem as Shawn's. Guess I'll take them apart for a look.

If your commutator is not shot like Shawn's (maybe shorted out like my starter) you may be able to clean it out and get a bit more life out of it.
