So, not being particularly smart, I just got done installing a full Depo/morimoto setup and my stoke was rising....rising ...until I tried to put the grille back on my LX450. Yeah....didn't know the headlights were specific until I tried to put the grill back on. If you don't know, LX grilles won't work with Toyota headlights and vice versa. Fortunately, Nemo is hardly a restoration vehicle so I have no problem cross pollinating.

So, I've found lots of Toyota grilles out there but I'm wondering if a 93 Toyota grille will fit on a 96 LX450? Were there mounting/fitment changes when they went to the FZE? Anything I should know before ordering one? And yes, I'd love a Kelly Saad grille (have one on my 62) but I don't have the budget.

Thanks in advance.

Signed,
Pretty Dim

Not sure but you may find that you have to replace valence as well

I don't *think* so. Quick search shows the lower valance panel appears to be interchangeable between Toyota and LX?

Edit: You may mean if I go 94, I'd have to change the valance and that looks correct. So I guess I should try to find a 96/97 Toyota grille.

FYI, the 93 has the 1fz-fe and is the same as the 94 with the "TOYOTA" grill. 95 - 97 are the same physical same dimension with Sombrero emblem.

Thank you, that's helpful!

Don't be surprised if it doesn't line up flush initially. You will likely have to do a minor tab trim on either the Depot lights or the stock grille. I have Depots and modded my crusty grille with a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. It only takes a minute.

Yeah, I think I saw a post from you to this effect. Thanks
