Has anyone morphed a grill from a 70 series onto a 100, basically replace the toyota emblem with the large word TOYOTA. That would be sweet. See the attached thread for pictures, about 8 pics down.

you could cut out the inner part of the grille, the slats, and put in a wire mesh then use the Toyota emblems from the FJ cruiser. Would look interesting.
 
so get the 70 series emblem...either way it can be done with a dremel/sawzall and some chickenwire from home depot.
 
i just killed two kittens for that. Im running low.....better run to the animal shelter tonight.



Actually, i bet it will lower your mileage, because if you cut out the grille and put in the mesh, depending on how dense it is, it might let more air into your grille. Which would cause less air to go over the truck, and just straight into it slowing it down.
 
The 100 looks weak in the grill area so I could see this as a viable cosmetic mod.

holy crap, for a really quick photochop..........that actually looks pretty good if i might say so myself. Someone do this mod for reallzzzz!
 
i would suggest getting a used(or new if you have the $) and cutting out the horizontal slats out of the grille. Then mount in some black wire mesh and mount the Toyota emblem to that. If done properly it wont look to "rigged". One other alternative if your not too crafty is to bring it to a custom car shop and show them this thread and they will be able to make it for you.

I had feeling that would look GOOD! I need a 70 grill and I will get it done. I just missed one in the classifieds section.

Can you put TOYOTA on the original grill? Lets see how that looks.

the grille is molded for the T, so even if you take the chrome off, its going to look weird. The only proper way to do it without it looking like crap is to do like i explained.
