We are getting moved in. Possibly taking the '04 on an expedition trip late in July with the local club. ONSC's big event is also SEP at Uhwarrie Nat'l Forrest.

'85 4Runner is pretty much sold. Still thinking about getting an 80 and selling the '04 - we shall see ;)

Fun to keep in touch via boards.

Glad to hear the move went well. Just realized I never came and picked up parts. Oops… Fail.

Happy wheeling!

Good to hear from ya! Best wishes in that part of the country!

We are prepping for our big annual event like SMORR right now - Logan's Run at Uwharrie Nat'l Forrest.

We have folks from Charlotte and Raleigh who make up ONSC.

We picked up a new-to-me '99 4runner to do trail rides with:

'85 is waiting delivery and the 2004 is almost gone - guy picking up Sep 12th.

Hoping for cooler weather - - too much beer down here - - I tell people I am drinking like 4x the beer I did in KC due to all the local breweries. Great ones include Burial, Foothills, Olde Hickory.

Nice 3rd gen. I'm going to sell my Cruiser next year and get another 3rd gen myself.

^^ Cool :)

**Update**

Local ONSC is full of a bunch of great guys, like TAC - covers all of NC, so pulls from Charlotte, Triad and Triangle - so lots of people.

So much stuff to do here - crazy - Appalachians are beautiful and so many trails, etc. I have only seen pictures so far except for Uhwarrie Nat'l Forrest in SEP - Work has been too busy :(

Couple of beach runs going down this Spring as well that we (my family and I) will not be doing as we don't like rust, but look like a lot of fun. :)

We are learning about contemporary bluegrass, NC beer, NC BBQ, local Folk Art and more about Land Cruisers :)

If you ever think about coming out this way let us know!

We have trips near Brevard/Asheville and Boone/Lenoir planned for this Spring. Lenoir is home of Budbuilt and a Google Datacenter btw :)

Very few Chiefs fans out here so that is lonely, but proud of our team. Its a good time to jump on the Carolina Panthers band wagon for NFC team - not hard vs Broncos. :)

Hope everyone there is doing well through the Winter!

Have you discovered The Avett Brothers yet (I know they are not new, but very popular in your area)?

Kinda - Haven't heard live, etc, but I know they are well liked around here and still cool about doing local concerts at all kinds of venues.

They are from in between Charlotte and Uwharrie where the 2-3 parts of our club meet for our biggest events.

Checked their tour schedule and looks like we would to catch them in Wilmington in April or wait for a while :\

We did see Trampled by Turtles at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain, which is near Asheville. Rainy, but the beer was flowing and the music was great.

Wife got us a couple nights at Red Rocker Inn - Black Mountain - United States

We went on to Brevard, after.

It was a great weekend!!

We also went to the National Folk Festival in Greensboro. We got caught about a mile away from our car with no rain gear in a deluge and missed out on watching Rhiannon Giddens who is NC's most recent star export :)

Classic opera training with NC roots and appears to be a wonderful person :)

Never heard of Trampled by Turtles. Thanks for that! Sounds like you're having a good time out there.
