Hi Everyone,

I have a professional sign shop at my disposal. I can make graphics/decals of any kind, and I will charge you half of what things would cost anywhere else, but only for IH8MUD related business. I am not a professional decal maker, but I did work at one for two years and I can make just about any vehicle graphic you want. I just make a nice batch of Toyota logos and they look great.

I am not trying to make money here, just looking for a way to give back to this forum since it has given a great deal to me.

Just shoot me a PM with what you want, what color and how big and I will make it within a day or two, collect payment via PayPal and that's that. If you don't like what you get, I will make it again or just refund your money. I just rebuilt a vintage outboard motor and recreated all the cover graphics, looks pretty cool.

Want a two foot Toyota logo on your hood? Piece of cake.

Sure man, no problem. I don't have access to an FJ45, although I wish I did. If you can tell me the exact width and height, what color and what font, I can definitely give you a good price. Text is easy. Toyota has used a couple different fonts over the years so I want to make sure I get you what you want. In my head in the standard Toyota pickup lettering.

Alternatively, if you have a picture of something you want me to copy, that would work too.

I wish I could, I don't really have any pictures of my work. I worked at a sign shop 11 years ago and have done all kinds of graphics, lettering, signs. I used to do tons of police cars all over Massachusetts. Also, if you are ever on Rt 1 in MA, more than half the signs on the North Shore were done by me, lol. Unfortunately, digital cameras were archaic and camera phones were even worse. The owner of the shop has real photos of all my work in a book somewhere locked away. He retired and closed his shop.

Anyway, I am less of an artist and more of an engineer. If you want something super creative, that is up to you, but if you can describe it, I can most likely make a proof and I am super anal about things being precise.

For example:

You say: I want a skull and crossbones with FJ40 under it in black 5"x5".

That is really easy, I would throw that together fast and send you a proof with a price quote. If you like it, you pay me via paypal, I send that same proof to my plotter, it gets cut out, then I do some touch up, weed away all the extra material, mask the front of it and send it to you. All you do it pull off the backing and carefully lay it down on your car. If you car was red, you would see red through all the open spots because it is a real cutout, not some cheap print on clear background. If you don't like it, I will give you your money back.

I have a real job, this is just a hobby that I thought might benefit this community. I am not very good at pricing but if you get a quote from a sign shop, I will do it for half price as long as you are a member here, I can (almost) guarantee that.

Also, if I do make something for someone, maybe they will take a picture and post it here.

That would be extremely easy if I could find an eps file or any vector art for this stuff. I have to imagine with all the repros, t-shirts, etc, someone has some eps files. I will have to search around, otherwise I need to figure out if that font set is available or worst case, I can just do edge detection and make my own eps.

Do you have a high-quality image of the logo I could work from? I am sure I can find one on the web somewhere if you don't. I have an FJ40 so I don't know my way around the FJ60 too well yet, but I do love those trucks.

Damn, that is a sweet logo. The only hard part on that would be the spirograph pattern. Remember, we are starting with a raw sheet of vinyl, so cutting that many thin lines could be interesting, but I am always up for a challenge.

I agree with all the little strands in that image, it is indeed a PITA to cut something that fine, let alone apply it (Having each strand release from the clear backing without ripping/kinking.) but its worth a try!

Glad you all like the logo - I was inspired by the old NYC subway tokens. I could see it with a color behind the lines so that that was one solid area instead of thin lines of vinyl... maybe match the truck color or just invert it to black with white or gray lines...

I received a number of requests asking what fonts I could render. I have lots of fonts and I can probably find something really strange if you have a specific font name in mind.

I don't, unfortunately. I can try to ask around or find out if I can find some though.

Lots of people are asking about TEQ stickers. I put together some pricing that I think it reasonable. If you want some text with the logo that is very simple also.

Turnaround time is a day or two on most of these.

I hope this pricing is decent.

Looks like a number of people want TEQ stickers of various sizes and colors. If you want to throw some of those onto your order, I can do those at the same time and you will get yours faster.

I put together this generic pricing because I was having trouble keeping track.

A cheap sign shop would charge you like $30 for the layout and $10 a sticker for a 5" (premium vinyl). I won't charge you for the layout instead just a flat rate. I hope this is reasonable but let me know.

3" tall = $3.00
4" tall = $4.00
5" tall = $5.00
(you get the idea)
all the way up to 24" tall = $24

Technically I can do something large enough for a 747 jumbo jet, I just need to buy some bigger vinyl and figure out the cost.

Quantity discounts for non-text graphics:

6-10 discount 10%
11-20 discount 20%
21-50 discount 30%
50+ discount 40%

Shipping should be relatively cheap for smaller things, I will just use a padded envelope. If you get something huge, then I would roll it up and put it in a tube.
