Had an unfortunate incident in Arches that bent the rear axle and the passenger side knuckle between the front control arms. A local LC specialist took a look and confirmed this (thanks Rich Van Voorhis!)

I ended up leaving my 2009 LX in Moab waiting for the insurance estimator to take a look after the holiday weekend.

I can send the LX to the repair shop of my choice. I see there is a Toyota dealership in Grand Junction. What other shops should I be considering for the repairs?

Didn't want my first post to get too long so I left out some details.

I drifted onto the shoulder of the main Arches park road and the gravel sucked me into one of the rocks lining the roads. Absolutely destroyed both passenger side wheels. I had a full size spare and spent a couple of days sourcing another 5x150 wheel only to find more problems once they were mounted up. Stopped by Navtec who rents a fleet of 80 series and talked to their mechanic who does work on the side. He confirmed the rear passenger side wheel is pushed back over an inch further than the driver's side. The bent front knuckle is probably an easier fix. Should I just have it towed to the Toyota dealership? Or are there other options that can replace the rear axle. Hoping the insurance estimator doesn't total it. I just got the truck in December and have been busting my a$$ to baseline it for this trip, and our trip to Ouray next month. Got to take the wife for 1 trail ride on Gemini Bridges before this happened. Not a great way to introduce the wife to wheeling. 😞

There his a Toyota dealer in Gj. You could also work with foreign aid or Barney brothers. Barney works mostly on 4x4 off road products.

Try Metric OffRoad in Grand Junction. I know nothing about them and have zero experience with them but every time I pass through Grand Junction I eat at restaurant that is close to their shop and they always have a nice assortment of Land Cruiser and 4Runners in their parking lot as I pass by. Maybe they can help you out. Just a thought.

Proffitt's is pretty close to Grand Junction...
