Does anyone have any good pictures of how/where they have mounted there GPS units? Also does anyone have a particular unit of choice. I am considering a unit specifically in the hand-held market, so pics of those units would be greatly appreciated!QUOTE]
I am using an old Magellan MAP 330 (16 MB) which I got cheap - the auto suction cup mount holds it to the right of the transfer case lever in my LX450. I don't like the monochrome display at all, since it is IMPOSSIBLE to read with sunglasses on and there is inadequate contrast between roads and features. I always have to pick the unit out of the cradle and hold it up in front of my face to read the durn thing!
I am strongly considering the new Magellan Meridian Color because it has a beautiful 16 color screen.

and it also has a large memory capability and selectable base maps:

I sure would like an expensive fixed-mount nav system, but I need to be able to carry it with me while hiking or biking, so a handheld is for me....
