Hello
I just recently installed a set of one inch spacers (man-a-fre) on my 92 LC and now whenever I hit about 65 miles per hour the vehicle seems vibrate rather profoundly. It seems to be coming from the front passenger wheel area. I also notice that when I hit a speed bump or hit a steep driveway there is a "clank" heard in the front suspension (same area). Yesterday I got underneath the vehicle and noticed that the coils are not seating properly, that the "end" of the coil is not resting up against the peg on the perch but rather is about an inch past it. Don't know if this is the cause of all of my problems, but thought it might be useful information. I was wondering if anyone else out there using coils spacers had any similar issues.

i dropped it off at the shop who installed the spacer. hopefully this takes care of it, they are claiming it was seated properly upon initial install.

can a spring jump the gap that keeps it seated? in other words can it rotate as they are claiming mine did?

No way Jose. IMO, the only way it could have been improperly seated is if someone did it because once you put the truck down on it, it is nearly impossible to get into a situation where that spring could turn up and past the stop on the lower perch.

thanks, thats what I thought.

Just my opinion, but I would never return to a shop that couldn't install those coils right. Its Suspension 101 and the more I think about it, I'd be blowing a gasket on them for trying to pin it on you, if they just had the coils out and you have not since been offroad. Better yet, go over there and have them put it on the rack and show you how they think the springs got that way. Impossible on their own, IMO

definitely will do, the work was warranted (one of those goodyear shops), I am down here in the Rio Grande Valley and my 4x4 options are pretty limited.

I installed the one inch spacers from man a fre, I am in the Rio Grande Valley, Edinburg Texas, short drive west of South Padre island.
