I was looking for something on getting rid of the loud beep from the keyless opener, 'cause at 5:30A its LOUD. I saw a post that described taping up the TVIP buzzer. Under the hood, on driver's side fenderwell, is the blasted buzzer. It's a red plastic cylinder about the size and shape of a film canister with a wrap of grey foam. Just tape up the hole with duct tape or whatever. Or only half the hole. Whatever. It WORKS.

Enjoy.:bounce:

I bet that would work on my Tundra as well. I dont use my keyless entry for that exact reason.

That's interesting. My Lexus has a volume control for the beeper on the dash, it's right above the driver's right foot. You might check your Owner's Manual to see if yours has it too. AFAIK, all the earlier Toyota's and Lexus used the same keyless entry setup, at least mine sounds exactly like all the Toyota's I've heard. One beep to lock, 2 beeps to unlock, and you gotta hit the Unlock button twice to unlock all doors.

whats wrong with the beep?? Is it that you don't want people to hear the beep and think your "soft" i never thought the beeps were that loud and actually during the cold months they are rather quite.
