Heat is no problem. The body and the line-x block anything noticable from the transmisson or engine. Probably a fair bit louder than with the carpet, but definetly not bad. I can't really make a comparison to carpeted floors though, I haven't had one for a while. I've had it stripped to the bare floor for over a year now. I've also got a 350 under the hood, so it's probably louder than the stock 6 cyclinder anyway, but with the line-x it's a whole lot quieter than when I was just riding on the bare floor. For example: before, I didn't have or want a radio because engine noise and tire hum was just going to drown it out anyway. Now I probably just have to turn it up pretty loud at highway speeds. Anyway, for me, no radio, no problem.

The average cost for a regular pickup truck bed being 700. And In the front I still plan to get some tan floor mats just so I don't have to vacuum out the floorboards all the time, and I hope they will help just a little more with the noise level. The
