We're only stoning because that seems to be the prefered method, per the current release of the christian FSM. :shrug:



to be honest...I haven't checked for a few days. Been too busy boozing it up with the future bro-in-law...you know...there's always the "ultimate thread" if all else is a bit too heavy :)

I have 219 thousand of miles on my 93 80-series. Not sure if chain, belt or twine, but it is still running so I guess it is not a regular thing. In line engines normally use chain, because they are made for longer life duty and lower maintainance. V type engines are more trouble and need more pampering. The longest living engines are all straight and usually diesel (in excess of 400K miles)
 
Thanks;) . One less thing to care about. I'll hit the dirt later this spring to see how my new toy behaves.
