Driving her back to Salt Lake. 28 hours total drive

281,000 miles 2007 bought it in Georgia. Having some problems right now but it looks to be because tire size was different. I thought it’d be fine to drive back home and then buy all new tires there. Take my experience, DON’T DO IT! I will say I drove 12 hours with no problem but something may now be damaged

Bummer man - What ended up getting damaged?

No damage. Because tires where different size, it made the differential work in ways it didn’t like and the Differential oil was cookin’ causing some weird resistance mostly when turning. Oils were replaced with clean one and matching tires were installed, now all is good

Hey guys I am going to have the water pump and timing belt replaced today. What are other things I should have the dealer replaced while st this? I have heard pulleys is one of the things.

Also I saw this coupon I got, and am wondering how often is this necessary if it’s not at all. The a/c is working fine right now

Serpentine belt and tensioner, fan bracket (one of those "while you're in there" things), crank and cam seals. Plugs and coils if they are no good..........ESPECIALLY at 281k

@ElkWhisperer: It's probably not a bad idea to replace heater hose Ts at this point as well. A very simple job yet very costly if they go wrong!

Definitely will check those out and most likely do them myself. I believe the records show that it was done less than a year ago so I will check that as well

07 best of the best, lucky man
learning more about the LXs every day. Was so focused on LCs for a while now looking at both.
Curious - why do you say '07 is best of the best? I have an offline opportunity out of state to snag an '07 in great condition - so what makes the 07 best? TIA.

VVTI engine makes more power (though 06s had this too), has the latest gadgets inside, Last model year of TEN 100 series model years....they had this truck down to a science.
