What I meant was how did you connect the carpet at the bottom of the seat to the seat frame because it looks like the flat part of the cargo area is a separate piece of carpet from what is on the back of the seat. OEM is connected as 1 piece.

It is one solid piece from tailgate to top of seat.

Ah. Got it. Looking at some of the pics I thought it might be separate.
 
One more... What material is under the driver's heels and how did you attach it to the carpet?
 
Having properly attached shift boots and a decent amount of padding over the shift tunnel makes a huge difference, I went from having duct tape in three layers over the transfer shifter hole to a regular Toyota boot and it is much quieter now. Do you still have no boots and open holes around the four shifters?

Yes, Haven't got to that customized cover yet.All that is there is the jute and carpet for now.

LOL.... and no one would be the wiser because you could probably pick up said Jeep guy broken down on a trail somewhere.
 
J, just got finished looking thru your thread. Was looking especially for page 64 where you sprayed the ML on Goss. I see where you masked off from the inside and sprayed just about everything. When you went to put the windows, door seals, and etc. back in, did you have any problems getting them over the ML and sealing? Getting ready to do mine and was just wondering. I will be mixing the liner with a paint matched toner. Hope to be done with it by the end of the month. Any words of wisdom on applying the ML?

I have used this on 5 projects now and the first coat on Goss was the first "SPRAY" coat I ever applied... IMO, IT SUCKED, not worth the frustration (I have a 5HP- 60 gallon 15 SCFM air compressor) ... Stick to rolling it... You will be able to control the texture more by rolling it. Just roll in the same direction on the final roll!!

Smoother finish = quicker roll time (liner self levels and sags early on)
Rougher finish = waiting til the last minute roll time

I'm happy with the finish on Goss... BUT... I worked my ass off to achieve it.

Thanks J, did the door window scrapers and window rubber go back in with ease?
