Dang it J, You make the blood flow in this old body. I have a large smoker that came with the house ( previous owner was a welder and has a welding shed in the back, he also left me a barely used Deere riding lawn mower). I've yet to use the smoker, it needs some derustification (it's a word, look it up). I think sometime next week I'll move it to the shade and fire it up.

To keep this tech, I will use my land cruiser to move the smoker, I'll even take pics so I feel like I contributed.

Come on down anytime. I'm usually around doing something....

Might have to take you up on that some day when I have a good break in my classes! Haven't been to the southern end of Wyoming at all really so definitely would be a cool trip.

Whether it's welding or trimming of the brisket it's guaranteed to be precise!
 Sounds like a perfect business slogan

Is it red yet?

NOPE! its 80 time for a bit.... just finished taking off the bumper, finished the gutter mount CAD file and sending it to the cutter for mass production HA!

We need to have a huge western states mud gathering...just to eat good food and talk/cruise cruisers.

Ohh...I'll do my darndest to make it, but you fellas better start without me...it's quite a task getting all these NYers to fall into line so we can relocate NY State out west (those folks down in Manhattan are particularly ornery...it's like herding cats...).

Gutter mount blanks arrived... 150 of them... Lots of bend and fab time ahead of me. These will work on 60s or 80s.

Other than that just banged out my "4 hour" bumper... Yes, it took me 4 hours to build. This is one of my "OEM" shells that I have finally decided to play with.. I really like it. I had to take a break from the 80 bumper at lunch... I will offer this with a receiver and swing arms as well.

Looks like you didn't clean off the black sticky crap from the OEM visqueen on the doors. Is this important to take off before painting or does it matter? I'm having a rap hard time getting it cleanup up real well.
Jeff

Door jambs in primer. I'll finish up some final sanding tomorrow and then Friday is full primer day. Waiting on primer to dry, waiting on a steel delivery and enjoying a beer.

Cheers,

J

Jeff, I'm not painting everything behind the door cards.. Just about an inch behind them. I run a bead of urethane caulk right over the old stuff and the primer and slap some 6 to 10 mil poly on it and call it good.. (whatever is the cheapest at Home Depot, etc... )

Got my roof rack mounts bent yesterday (10) along with a few others. Need to make the anchor bolts for them. Received 3 of my 4 LED bars.. DAMN FedEx... Oh well I'm not ready for them anyhow...

No Monstaliner this weekend, I have to go pick up one of the two FJ40s I bought yesterday.... NO one around me wanted free bumpers or sliders... SO ... I just bought my own R&D 40s (ONLY needed the one... BUT!! couldn't let the other one become LONELY!!) ;)
