Hello: my son is starting college next week in Auburn, Al and I want to find a good dependable mechanic to work on his lx 450 just in case he has any problems while he is at school. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Ed

War Eagle! I grew up in Auburn and went to school at AU as well. We always took our 94 to the toyota dealership on S. College st. They did great work since 1994 when my dad bought it. I believe they have recently moved the dealership down the road but I haven't been home in a few years. Kenny and Kevin knew their stuff, and Jim was the parts guy I always talked to when I needed anything. Like I said I havent been back in a while, but I'd give them a call first if you needed any work done. Just a side note, one day when I was waiting on my truck I noticed a few Euro-spec 80's in the back. They were upgrading the suspensions and installing turbos, since these cruisers were armored and would eventually end up down-range.

War eagle and thanks for the info. Dropped it off at lynch Toyota last night. We will see what they say. Ac stopped working on the way up from f
Fl. If anyone thinks of any other shops in the area it would also be appreciated.

War Eagle Folks - when I was in school there 98-02 I worked at H&W down in Opelika washing cars/boats. They did all the service work on my 95 runner for entire time I was down there. I never had a lot of problems, but they did replace compressor and water pump. Right before I graduated I went ahead and let them do the full tune up. All these jobs I helped with, but all the mechanics were grade A.

Thanks guys. I graduated from Auburn in 91 and I am excited my son decided to go to Auburn also. I appreciate the info and hopefully won't need to have too much work done. Also need a guy to maybe change out the gears. Any ideas? Thanks, Ed

Not exactly next door, but acc in Atlanta ask for Brian. There top notch and LC guys

A good friend of mine has run the service dept at H&W since about 2002. They can get you fixed up if anything should happen.

For major work give us a call.

03' AU alum here.
