Hope you check in during your trip and post some pics.

Thanks Marshall. I've driven the Pig about two hours today - it is running pretty durn well. I'll probably start a thread in Chat and post a bunch of pics.

The wife is pretty anxious/excited. We leave Saturday morning for 2,600 miles of 'fun!'

For those who don't know both of my companies are sponsoring the UP Overland 2010 trip so the wife and I will be driving my Pig up to Michigan. Check out www.UPOverland.org for info.

I can't remember if you told me this, but would we be able to track you via your spot?

I never got that taken care of.

I'm thinking about posting up a Google Map of my route. I've been so slammed with getting the Pig ready (thanks Marshall) and getting work squared away to be almost off the grid for a week and a half I forgot what it was like to sleep!

I promise I'll at least post up a thread full of pics and stories when I get back - and I'll try to post up some pics along the way.

JL - If I can't get good internet connection I'll send some pics to you if you want to post them here.

Best wishes for you and the lil lady as your makin bacon down the highway. Be safe, have fun.

Have a great trip. I still can't believe you're taking the Pig on a 2600 mile trip. I still remember when you didn't want to drive it to Gulches. Good on ya!

Your little fan is not keeping up? Or has Ali claimed it full time? hehe

I haven't had that fan for one second!

yeah, a little crazy but the Pig is running great. I have spent a ton of prep time on her over the past several months.

The weather is getting cooler. Soon we will be in the northern UP and it will be much cooler. Now it is time for some coffee!

This has been a pretty awesome trip! We are staying at the Gateway Lodge in Land O Lakes WI and are having dinner at Forest Lake General Store which is incredible -google it.

If I haven't said already I'm posting pics to my Facebook page 'Southeast Overland'.

We are back - some 2,700 miles (I think) later.

The Pig did great. Only small problems were the windshield washer would not squirt (didn't look into it), blew an inner axle seal and coated the inside of my d-side tire, and a pesky come-n-go leak on my oil pan. Nothing big, except I really wish we had AC - it was in the mid eighties up there often - not the weather I expected.

I have a literal TON of pics and video that I'll get together.

Glad you're back safely! Good to hear about the 55 as well. I know you were working hard to get it reliable. Sounds like you met or exceeded your goal. How'd your fridge do? And the dual bat. set up?

I know where you can get some help this weekend with that inner seal...:beer:

Fridge worked great, dual battery worked good with one small issue that was my fault (imagine that).

I'm waiting on rebuilding the front axle b/c I think I'm gonna do a cut-n-turn first - also want Marlin's seals and I think someone on MUD has some thicker inner seals too.
