Looking for a dealer alternative mechanic who knows & loves Landcruisers, preferably the 100 series, Boston north to southern NH.

Any recomendations greatfully appreciated.

Mechanic

Thanks, Yea, spoke to them, but they have never done a late model starter under theintake plenum starter....

Yea ted is a good guy go to him. I saw the work on his fzj 80 the supercharger install looked mighty clean, they will take care of you im sure even if they havnt done the starter swap before.

He did spend 15 mins with me & I was impressed.

I am about 20 mins away from that shop - I had no idea they existed!

My 60 is with Tedd now. They do great work.

No other recomendations?

Any one else, no other recomendations?

Here's a reverse recommendation:

There is a shop in Sommerville MA, called A&M Motors. They do a LOT of Cruiser work, there is always one or two of them on the lot getting something done. DO NOT GO THERE. Trust me on this one.

If it was a lot warmer out, I'd say bring it over to my house. I've never tackled one either, but I'd be willing to give it a try, as long as you help.

Thanks for the warning & thanks for the offer. Did I mention I have a heated garage with a cold fridge & widescrren for the Pats? lol...:D

Hmmm... very tempting. We should talk.

I was actually exagerating a bit about the garage, I do have heat, a portable salamander, & a propane that has been hanging from the rafters for 3 yrs & not hooked up. As far as the widescreen, I wish, the fridge & cold ones are the truth, that's were I keep my bait also.

I also have my Triumph TR250 I am in the midst of puting back together since July.

I just ain't got no time!! :frown:

I hear ya on the "no time" thing. Trying to do some renovation on my house, it's going slowly.

I have a propane double-burner heater, it works great, nice and portable.

The offer is there, maybe later we could find a weekend that's not ridiculously cold (unlike this one) and have at it. Is this just a PM project, or are you in desperate need to get it done ASAP?

I'm casually considering a UZJ100 for my next vehicle, would enjoy the chance to wrench on one.

How far north of Boston are you? I'm in Salem NH, just over the line, I call it the "lunatic fringe" of MA. :)
