What up guys. I would email everybody in the yahoo group, but I think maybe people from Massachusetts or Vermont might be checking this forum so they could chime in as well.

I'm looking for a nice remote campsite that takes a cruiser to get to but is a nice spot for some fishing and hiking. Do you guys know of any good places up in the Adirondacks or Catskills like this? Its not something I've been able to find via google, nor do I think I should be able to find.

I don't want some touristy campsite covered in tents and RV's. It'll just be me and a :princess: getting away for the weekend.

Also, any camping tips would be great too. I'm definitely not new to the outdoors, just new to camping. I plan on sleeping inside the cruiser on an air mattress.

Before I moved out of NJ I was always looking for places like you describe in the Adirondacks.
Check out Moose River Plains Wilderness Area.
I never got there but from what I read it sounded pretty nice. Primitive camping as well.
