Clean looking rig, 1 owner carfax, no accidents. Nothing seems off interior or exterior wise although I will need to do a more thorough check and take a look underneath.

Thoughts?

Is that 40,000 miles in Chicago proper (based on records)? When I searched for mine, I did skip over a few trucks from Brooklyn/NYC as those are going to be harder miles in primarily stop and go traffic. Which is fine, I would just expect to pay a bit less.

Ended up going to a dealer in Connecticut and paying 56.7 (selling price) for my 2013 CPO LX with 29k miles in May. 53k OTD is decent but IMO you still want to make sure it has full, comprehensive maintenance records at these price points.

Assuming it's not CPO ? sounds decent but as noted the area it lived in would be a factor to me....I looked at a Boston truck - 2014 with 22k that looked horrible underneath and they wanted 55k...

my 13' CPOe'd with 55k on it was 48k pretax. but it was a TX truck and super clean.

take your time to get it right would be my advise - and be willing to jump a flight if you can...

Anything specific you're looking for ?

good luck in the hunt !

I paid similar OTD for a 2013 Houston truck with 49k miles on it this time last year. The truck was CPO. That was shipped up to Chicago for me by AutoNation.

Chicago mileage is typically not all city like NYC proper. I think my driving is the exception to the rule - most "Chicago" vehicles are really Chicagoland area, which means a lot more highway and suburban miles.

BTW looks like there are two similar trucks within 25 miles proximity and $2000 of each other. Make sure to use that as leverage.

I'm pretty stingy, so I'd say that is not a deal. It is a very average price paid for a 13, and given that it's lived in Chicago, I'd say its a bad deal.

I almost bought a '13 last month for 44K with 68K miles. Single owner, spent its life in Oklahoma. Ended up passing but it was a great deal on a nicely kept LC. I ended up getting a truck since we already have an LX570.

I can see several '13 LC's within 500 miles of me that have 50-70K on the ODO for mid to high 40's. These are all likely warm weather vehicles too = no road salt corrosion.

I'd keep shopping. Look through the southern states where it doesn't snow much and have it shipped for 500 bucks. Or better yet, fly out and drive it home. After all, getting an LC is about the adventure right?

My approach has been to fly and drive the truck home. But have to be careful with the sales tax, depending if the state is reciprocal or not. Tax was a deal breaker for me on one truck. So I had to walk away. And shipping it wasn't any better. Ended up not making sense.

Understandable, but he's saying OTD which is about $3k of the price.

If this is the black/tan truck at Pugi VW - I had the intention of buying it for the longest time until a similar condition one popped up nearby for a few thousand more.

I also distantly considered the Black/black one at some GMC dealer in Naperville (didn't like the excessive seat wear on driver bolster).

There are two types of buyers: the patient ones who wait for the perfect truck at a killer price and ones like me who realize if you want an LC fast you're better off paying more and just getting a nice truck and be happy. In this case, you have a great balance and I think you'd be in the first category.
