Looking forward to seeing the inside of the bed when your done.

Got the old Goat a new set of shoes.

Truly nothing makes a Cruiser look better than the proper wheel and tire combo. I borrowed some crusty hubcaps off Patina for the shot.

Tomorrow I finalize packing for a Overland trip so this project is in bed for a week or so.

The fuel tank repair was a success and I got it all back installed. I didn’t break anything so I’m happy. I even got the sending unit fixed.

I also dropped the seats off with the local guy, picked out a gray I liked, printed a picture of the OEM stitching and asked for firm foam. He told me to come back a week from Friday. $400

Parts are ordered from @Racer65 @Cruiser Corps and of course @beno

Looking forward to my pile of boxes upon return.

Nolan, those tires look great. I also got a set of the 700-15 Bias Ply. As close to original as we can get these days...

Love the shoes!

Power Kings are what I’ve been running on my 40, top candidate for the 45 when it gets to be shoe time for it. But I’ll have to dig up some acorns.

Also, Paul non of the FJ45 LPB's had under the seat tool boxes as far as know. Just tool rolls and a strap to hold it.
Hey Mark - isn't my '63 an LPB? (SWB fix top)

Paul, I'm pretty sure the FJ45L-PB didn't come out until 1965 (Long wheel base) units that is. My 63 and 64 parts manual says FJ45 P or LP for left hand drive like yours. Also not sure if the unit designation for the removable top vs non- removable top is different.

I'll double check for you when I get home.

Someone else with way more experience may want to chime in.

I did just spray Converter on it. It does not turn black just darker.

I’m going to do the frame and bed first and if I like the looks I may do the entire truck. I have slowly been doing parts of my 68 exterior and I like it. I think clearcoating would change the look and also sandwich in the rust that’s not totally killed.

Looks great! Thighs might be a little close to the steering wheel until they settle in a bit.

Lucky I’m short or this truck would be a non player.
