Those look great!

Very nice. This is such a great rig.

I found the hoses from Cruiser Outfitters. They shipped out today with tie rod ends and a valve cover gasket.

Beno is sending me a box of OEM goodies soon. I’ll tear into the engine hoses and do a radiator flush when all that stuff arrives.

Meanwhile I got some goodies from City Racer. First was the radiator overflow bottle cap.

I decided to use a nicely worn 60 series bottle for overflow. For Project Patina I bought one of his reproduction bottles, caps and had to source a bottle holder. I ended up about $200 in that setup. I’m kind of a freak about weird looking overflow bottles but this looks good to me.

Patched the drivers side floor hole this morning. It’s a perfect 12x12 area

I did the same type patch on my Patina Project. Leave the rusted parts to adhere to the new metal with JB weld to firm it up after a few rivets.

Of course the top and the bottom have been Rust Converted

After this cures I’ll tape off this area and paint it. Then cut a little rubber mat for the area.

Fine and done.

Damn right. This is no restoration. It’s a driver.

Also got the hood hooks moved back to the right spot and added the missing one with the proper Patina from @cbmontgo

This took way too long to do.

I remember when I first got into cruisers how much I thought those hooks being rusted were a pain in the ass. So hard to get them all cleaned up and painted especially with the springs. You would have to mount them and pull on it to expose the shaft to get that painted.

Seems like such a waste of time now once you appreciate the patina!

Added these pimp little tailgate bumpers from @Racer65

Gassed it up and rode around a bit. This is a short man’s Cruiser for sure. Needs shocks in a bad way.

Drives nice and straight though.

Definitely GOAT on the patina. What a match between the roof, bumpers and bed!

Truck is looking sweet. Replace those shocks with some KYBs. They ride decent and are priced well (for how this truck will get driven).

@beno is sending OEM ones

I got a set of vent drain hoses and gasket from @Racer65 to rehab the long defunct cowl vent
