I have been trying to sell this truck for a while now. If you or anyone you know wants to take a look at it, i have ads posted on two different web sites, links below

It's in Bayfield, CO and Im asking $3,500.00

Here are the Contents of the Ad. -

This is a 1949 GMC 1/2 Ton Short bed Pickup.
I have owned it since 1996 and it has actually
been stored for the majority of that time.

The truck is currently not running.
In 1997 or so, the line from the oil filter to the block burst,
and the truck ran itself out of oil,
probably burning up the rings in the process, but it never seized.
The engine is an original In-line 6 cylinder (235 inch?)
I converted the electrical system to a 12 volt system.

The Truck has had some body work done on it in the past
judging from a few different paint colors I have seen under the gold paint.
The Wood bed is rotted and in need of replacement.
The frame, transmission, front and rear end are all in good shape.
All of the glass is original and is in great condition.
The driver side rocker panel is Rusted out (see photo)
and should be replaced. This is a typical problem for these trucks.
The Interior has two aftermarket bucket seats and the original gauges
are there but not working.
The original steering wheel and dashboard are intact as well.
Even the rims and tires are in decent shape.
This truck is really ready to be restored, and is a great project waiting to happen.
The purchaser is responsible for picking up the vehicle in Bayfield, Colorado.
Please contact me if you have any further questions,
or if you want to see more photos.
