(I'm lookin' for some (cheap) authoriTAY when attempting to communicate with the wonderful drivers out here on the Long Island Expressway)

Tried hooking up a junkyard (read: free) Chevy horn in my 60... it no go beep-beep!!!??

It works connected directly to the battery but not when connected to the wires that feed the OEM horns. Not enough voltage? Me thinks this is the case since if I disconnect both OEM horns and hook up the GM it groans... some... Solution: relay to OEM wires and power to battery and horn? Anything better?

Thanks,
Mark

I have dual horns from a 65 Bonneville in mine, people hear it quite well. ;)

Search and you'll find a write-up on how it has to be wired. That write-up is what I used.
