My FJ60 suffered a carb fire, before I purchased it, that got most vacuum lines, booster and brake/clutch mstr cyl's. I'm planning a '87-92 GM 5.7/700R4 swap and I wanted to know if I could use the GM Donor Vehicle's Booster and Mstr Cyl (with ManAFre firewall adapter) rather than buying the expensive Toyota replacement booster & mstr cyl or rebuild kits, because I'm not sure if heat could have warped anything?
I see this done on FJ40's not originally equipped with PS, but didn't know if it would work well on the '87 FJ60 that was originally factory PS?
Thanks for any advice,
Alan

I think the larger bore GM master works much better. Better braking, less brake pedal travel. You'll already be setup if you ever decide to upgrade to larger bore 4runner calipers.

Just finished putting on a GM hydroboost booster and master on my 2nd Cruiser because the setup worked so well on another.

Thanks FL cruiser
That is a win win, better braking and big savings on the conversion.
Thanks for the reply.
