4. Country of Origin - Sold new in Germany and converted to a camper in 1985 by Specil-Mobils in Germany.

5. Mileage on the truck odometer - 386,000 kilometers

6. Modifications, if any - Specil-Mobils conversion with pop-top, air suspension, solar system, onboard air, solar charging system, front and real diff lockers, racks, etc. All converted in 1985, so this is the true grandpa of overlanding conversions. It's been on every continent except Antartica.

6. How you use the truck - It's a recent addition to my collection, so I'm currently getting it back to being dependable while learning all it's options. I'm old, fat, rich, and retired, so I plan to take it around the world. Again.

6. Modifications, stock down to the original bumpers, I use a custom built 6" C channel front bumper when we tow it so I didn't have to alter the stock bumper. And I do have it wired for brakes and turn signals. There's a pigtail for trickle charging. And 3M clearcoat on the front end to protect paint against rocks being thrown from the motorhome.

6. How you use the truck - We have towed the Machito behind our motorhome and used it for excursions when we reach our destination.

Nice rig! How do you like the Safari turbo? Am considering it - have nearly a twin to your Rig.

I love the safari turbo. It makes a big difference in how the truck drives. I don't have a Pyrometer in right now so I keep the RPMs up on hills.
