Thats a possibility, what about all the heepers from the clemson 4x4 club, or maybe I can get Katies sorority to come at least then we'd have some eye candy, and beer pong after the build.

I second that notion!

Seriously, you have a great idea here, Ricardo. I think we ought to consider pushing forward with this and Gundy's idea of a year-long drive as well, IE: toy drive and/or adopt a family.

I think we can expect no more than perhaps 12-15 members - at best - to pitch in with your idea, though ( I wish all of us would participate). So that leaves us with having to either take more time in finishing a home project, or coordinating with another group as mentioned above. We will be better suited to make that decision when we learn the specifics.

Please coordinate with JP to find this out. And thanks for your ideas, concern and follow-through.

PS: Let me know what I need to do to help out with this.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the chapter I emailed. Hopefully sometime this week. Otherwise I can give them a call when I get back to Clemson. I would hope more then 12-15 of us would show the initiative to get involved in this. I know we have a lot of members who arent really active but I would think that something like this would be an appropriate cause where more member would get involved. I agree with JP saying we get other 4x4 clubs from the area involved.

Also another thought I had was maybe a cancer benefit, like relay for life type thing but ours could be "cruising for the cure" and we do a drive like down the parkway or something. Get donations and make it a poker run or something.

Recieved an email from the habitat people today. They said they appreciated our interest and asked for me to please come meet with them to discuss sponsorship of a unit. So I will set up a meeting for sometime next week once I return to the Upstate and get back to you guys about the results.

It's been a while...

I'm still interested in pursuing some charity work for the Pickens County residents. While all of these are great ideas, I believe we ought to bite as much as we can comfortably chew.

I have a sense that Habitat for Humanity may be too large, however. But I really like both, the Meals on Wheels "Snow Cruisers" idea as well as the "Santa Cruisers Toy Drive" mentioned above.

Please post your vote here for what you would like us to do. Thank you, all!
