Just got home from a weekend trip to the high desert.

Did that chunk on the ground come from the rock?

That really is a BIG ROCK!

Yep! The giant rock is said to be the 'biggest free-standing boulder in the world". That piece broke back in 2000. Rumor has it... the huge rock split nearly crushed an RV. Some say the break occured due to the heat from a bonfire that burned next to the rock the night before.

Is that a shooting star in the first pic or a shaky camera shot?

Where exactly is that in the high desert. OK not exactly because then you will give me coordinates but near what town.

What are you talking about? i have 2. Yosh and Dixie. Trust me, its a full time job keeping them happy out in the field. I do a ton of stuff that i otherwise wouldn't normally do. But i wouldn't have it any other way. Im lucky i have someone to share my experiences with.

I bet you don't envy the 4+hour drive that should have taken 2 on Friday night

Did you go inside the Integratron (aka freak-a-tron) don't recall that fence.

Calico is always a good time, BTW the Calico Cleanup is scheduled for 2/16/ 08 so lets get a big turnout for that.

When I have another free non Soccer game weekend with the kids thinking about exploring the El Mirage and Stoddard Wells OHV's on the way to Calico.

No. There wasn't anyone there and that huge fence was around it.

Calico is always a good time, BTW the Calico Cleanup is scheduled for 2/16/ 08 so lets get a big turnout for that.

Yeah I was sick with bronchitis doctor orders 3 days rest, no dust or physical activity so that's why I missed it but I've been on (3) other clean-up's so far this year including the one at corral cyn.
