Beno, thank you for the ball joint. Steering is a lot better and it came really fast.

Hey Onur,

I sent you a parts quote for a coupla Toyotas earlier today via e-mail. Thanks in advance!

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:

Due to customer complaints about the cost of shipping, I will no longer be shipping anything large, heavy nor bulky like short blocks, transmissions, hood insulators, body parts unless the customer arranges shipping from their end or understands how shipping works on large and bulky items or understands how "dimensional weight" works with the major shippers.

As much as I want to assist customers, it is obviously unfeasible to continue providing my services to customers who in the end are unhappy about a shipping charge after full disclosure.

EDIT: Toyota provides dealers (me) with NO dimensional information about any of the parts I get from them. They also provide no information on how heavy or light something is nor do they provide us any information about how something is packaged. The first time I see something and get an idea about how much it might be to ship it is when I receive the part in my warehouse.

AGAIN, A GUESSTIMATE ON MY PART IS JUST THAT: A GUESS. SOMETIMES I AM CLOSE, SOMETIMES I AM WAY OFF.

Thanks for your understanding and look forward to continue serving your needs.

Few Updates folks:

1. My hours have changed a bit now that I am a little more settled in. My new hours are 830am-6pm Monday-Friday and every other Saturday. As always, I do work in a very busy parts department. If you get my VM, please feel free to leave a message and I will get back to you ASAP. These days, it seems email and PM are a bit quicker in terms of getting to me.

2. Those folks with bigger orders (rotors, compressors, alternators, starters, radiators--basically anything that won't fit into a USPS Flat Rate Box) you will see TWO charges on your credit cards: One for the parts total and one for shipping only. This makes the shipping charge exact to what Fedex is charging me to ship parts to you. This way there is also no issues with overcharging or undercharging.

3. Again, a reminder: I do stock over $70K in Land Cruiser parts. That said, there are hundreds of other parts that I have to order from Toyota. These parts sometimes take awhile to get from Toyota because I have to utilize a "manual or off-line" order to get these parts in quantity. That takes time--sometimes a few weeks. In the case of non-US or diesel components, wait times might be even longer. Unfortunately, just a part of the process with Toyota's bureaucracy.

Thanks for your understanding!

Going to need intake/exhaust manifold studs for Stock 1977 Ca. FJ 40. VIN is FJ40 252561(I know this is sorta useless on these trucks but there it is anyway) Engine block stamp is: 2F-353-071. At least grade 8 studs?
Thanks for any help,
Gary Stilwell

PHONE ISSUE:

Folks, my VM's were erased this past weekend due to some technical issue with the VOIP.

So if you have called me since Friday, your message likely is gone.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please give me a buzz back and I'll get you squared away.

Hey Beno I'm looking for the stock positive side battery cable with the little clip connector for the coil for my 76 FJ40. My local Toyota told me it was discontinued but thought there might be a comparable year that would also work. Any ideas??

Thanks,
BR
