Legally I don't think that you have to have them, if you want them there are mounts available.

IMHO you should never do that! They are a whole new truck, handle better, much more fun and will never want to put that heavy, rattling POS top back on! The default setup for a 40 in AZ should be a bikini top.

Should be fine, at least, I've never been pulled over for that violation.

Oh no, if BMAN is around & I hop in my truck wearing shorts, he's going to get confused... I thought I had a bikini top, but it must be for a different year, doesn't work...

looks like I am missing the channel thingy... Might be around here somewhere...

they are called "Jeep mirrors" and are practically nowhere to be found in the PHX area
(I ran around some 6-8 auto stores to get a replacement for the one I lost on LogCorral 
); my advice: don't even try
you can buy them from CCOT or SOR (mucho $$$) or from any regular supplier like Jeg's, JC Whitney or so; I got my replacement from 4WheelersSupply.com (IIRC, they were the cheapest)

I agree with the Toolman, in fact I don't think I've even had the soft top on in over two years.
Relix, I've got an extra set of 1/2 doors if you want 'em. They are the older style with the funky latch.
As far as side mirrors, I'm lost without them (I drive a KW from time to time). I just checked sor, WOW! I think I paid half that when I bought mine 10 years ago. Today they are only $87 each!

Here's an idea for a cheapy booty fab.
$5 mirror from Auto Safety House and leftover pieces from old truck camper mirrors.
Pound to shape, paint and Voila!
