I picked up a really nice mechanicly 86 FJ60. Did have some rusty rear quarters, though. Frame is solid.

So, I made a 'patch' w/14ga diamond plate:

Still gotta weld in the underside and finish trimming out the body panels to fit. Of course, will have to do a wrap around style bumper now :)

Colorado truck. Whick probably helped save the frame at least. They don't salt the roads like they do back east. Mainly just the rear quarters were a mess. Some rust on the bottom of the front fenders, but not as bad. Everything else, and the drivetrain, are in great working order

love the way it intergrates into the body work :flipoff2:

Thanks for the offer - but that's alot of work switching bodies! :) Besides, I'm kinda going for the 'mad max' look, and not so much the killer FJ 60 look. You don't even want to know what my 04 Sorento looked like after a year and half of wheeling out here in AZ! I guess I'm more the type that wants the mechanicals top notch working order, and really don't care too much about a few bumps and bruises on the body...
