Not mine, no affiliation, I was just browsing European "for sale" ads and came across something interesting and unusual. Thought somebody here might be interested. Not pretty to look at, and it shows signs of delayed maintenance, but it's not a spec you see very often.
1995 HDJ80 with 24-valve turbo diesel motor (1HD-FT), 5-speed manual transmission (H151), Front, rear, and center locking differentials, "poverty spec" trim (vinyl floors + seats, no flares, no sunroof, etc), and swing-out back doors (aka barn doors). It looks like it's been sitting for a while (cobwebs in the engine compartment), and it has the remnants of a terrible vinyl wrap on it, but it's cheap. Underneath the wrap it's Dark Emerald Pearl (6M1), but I doubt the paint is much to look at even with the wrap removed. If a guy was willing to give it some love, it could be a very unique rig. I'm gonna guess there's some rust/corrosion on it, so before buying, get some photos/info on that if that sort of thing bugs you. Oh, and it doesn't have air conditioning. Deal killer, right?
The best part is that the seller's only asking 9800Euro OBO for it, which is about US$11,000. Hell, if the motor and trans are working they're worth more than that.
