I recently listed my 1989 Toyota 62 Series Land Cruiser on BaT, but I did not hit the reserve. Luckily, I get to drive for some more time, and it will give someone else the opportunity to hopefully buy this well built rig.

I bought this cruiser off BaT in December 2021, and since then, we’ve had two more children, and I need to find a new rig to accommodate some car seats to get us to & from Soccer Practice and the grocery store.

The majority of the work was performed under previous ownership at Desert Toy Shop in Mesa, AZ. The recent engine work including the installation of a rebuilt/resealed L83, w/ a Texas Speed AFM/DOD delete kit, new camshaft, lifters and lifter trays were completed in Summer 2023.

Snorkel was disconnected under previous ownership due to the snorkel not allowing adequate air flow during the dyno testing. Still deliverers clean air to the engine compartment, but as expected, it will not help traversing high water crossings.

The photos in the gallery make it appear the windshield is chipped. I was residual adhesive from the GPS antenna… here are some pictures of it cleaned up.

You put a second L83 in? What happened to the former?
How many miles were on the newest swap?
thanks
Yes, I had a collapsed lifter in the L83 that came with the cruiser. The current L83 has about 1200 miles on it since being installed.

That's a beautiful rig. GLWS

Considering that the area in these 2 pics is the first part of a 60/62 series to rust, this is incredibly CLEAN! I've seen a number of 60/62's that are being sold as "rust free" yet this area is delaminated badly with rust. Not the case at all here!
I spoke with Charlie (seller) the other night, very honest and up front seller. I'm shopping, just unsure of exactly what I want.

You won't find a better or more honest dude, inside or outside of the Land Cruiser community.
