gen 2/3 nav upgrade 7.1. Is it out yet?

I thought the 2007 LX got Gen 5 while the LC stayed Gen 4???

Both the 06/07 LX and LC have the Gen 4. The new 08 LC/LX have the Gen 5.

I have the 7.1 version disc # 86271-53022, I copied one for my 4Runner and it works fine. If anyone needs a copy let me know.

My 2004 LX has Generation 4 DVD based Navigation. Im running version 5.1. If I upgrade to version 7.1 I will lose the override capability. Some people made hybrid DVD's, Version 5.1 with 7.1 map data so you keep the override capability but thats not something I would or could do myself. Its very useful to be able to override so you wife can punch in destinations on the fly.

which override will not work? i have the coastaltech lockpick on my 04', would that not work if I upgraded to 7.1

NAV LOCKPICK
It is a little wiring harness with some kind of little computer board with some programming in it. Basically it automatically presses the "I agree" button and then also when you are in the Destination screen you press the thumbtack on the top left and it does the unlock programming so you can have full access to the Nav. I believe it also unlocks the Video (mine was already unlocked when I bought it) I will say that they are not very responsive if you try to contact them but they do take payments and ship your product.

This guy has them for $55 incl. shipping. They are copies but he swears they work perfectly. I ordered one but haven't got it yet. I'll post my results.
