Anyone else experience gas sloshing our past the gas cap? Mine was sloshing gas out regularly when off road with a 3/4 to full tank. Cap looks OK but it’ll be the first thing I replace if no one else has any suggestions.

Many of us have had boiling gas issues at high temps, altitudes, or both. Just happened to me yesterday driving from NM to CO.

So it’s altitude related vs off road sloshing? I’ll keep an eye on it, I was definitely at high elevation when it was happening.

Less atmospheric pressure lowers the boiling point of the gasoline (or maybe the ethanol mixed into it).. add in the heat inherent in the tank being under the truck with the exhaust and driveline.. boiled fuel.

I’ve got video of my 80 spitting a LOT of vapor out of the fill port and audibly boiling like crazy, this while doing a long steep road in low range at ~12k feet. The evaporative emissions system isn’t nearly as good on it though.
