Does anyone have a problem with the pump handle not shutting off when it is filling their Cruiser? For the past half a dozen fill ups, the pump is not shutting off in time and it is literally drenching the side of the truck with gas. I am planning to try a different station on my next tank.

In addition, do you find that when it does click off, you can still put in another gallon or so?

Thanks,
Brett

I've not had that problem with my 100. I would think the problem is most likely at the pump. Are you placing the nozzle in the tank vertically and seated as deep as it will go?

The gallon or so headspace left over after shut off is to allow for expansion. When gas comes out of the underground tank it is 55 degrees or so and will normally need some room to expand as it warms up. If you "top off" after the automatic shut off you can end up flooding your evaporative system with liquid fuel. This could eventually damage the charcol canister or lead to other running problems. On a very hot day it could result in a fuel leak.
