Gas Pedal 'limit bolt' (1 Viewer)

Recognizing the 'power band' limits of the 3FE, there is a double nutted bolt behind the gas pedal that limits the pedal travel. Has anyone tried screwing it in further, to allow the pedal to travel further toward the floor, in theory, giving the engine more fuel? Or is the bolt head position set from the factory for max fuel delivery that the engine can handle, and delivering more fuel would make the mix too rich?

It doesn't add more fuel, it adds more air. If the butterfly is fully opened at full swing then it's perfect.
