almost every time I am having issues opening the hood instead of the gas when filling her up at night. There's no illumination or any indication of which is which when its dark. I do know I can get used to it but when you are driving the truck among other cars you really tend to forget

Do the newer 2013/2014 LC's have illumination? Or at least does the LX570 hood release switch have illumination? i could probably light one up instead of both if the newer 200's lack led lighting inside them.

Theres also a kit for this but its at $600+ shipped

You can merely put a telltale on the hood release. Something like a small piece of velcro (the rough side) and it is easy to feel. Many of the switches down low are tough to see IMHO.

I love how it's a big latch and not a button like on most cars. Just go left. EZ. No illumination on mine.

ill probably do a DIY project this weekend and slap some low voltage LED's for minimal ambient light, or a 1mm LED diode as an indicator.

In the meantime ill dream
