Gas Cap Pressure

Hey Everyone,

When I go to fill up my baby, because it's on empty, when I unscrew the gas cap, the tank is pressureized and blows air out as I unscrew the cap.

Is this normal?

Mine's done it since new. Doesn't seem to follow any particular pattern, ie hot/cold days, freeway/intown driving, etc.

every vehicle i have owned has done this. I just sold a 01 tacoma and it did it since new...the LC does it too. It seems that the lower the tank is, the more it does it...more volume available for fumes...maybe?
