Made from 1/4" steel, painted with Hammered Red paint. Has a mount on the back for hanging that sets it away from the wall 1/2". Can be left "see through" but I put white card stock on the back to show the letters better. 12" round.

I purchased one as well. Very nice hunk O garage art.
 
Yeah... it might be hard to fit a clock hole in there. I can move the letters, but it wouldn't be "accurate" to the symbol. Also, right now there's only 1/2" of space behind the piece so that could be an issue. A small one, easily fixed... but still an issue.

Steve, you could leave the logo where it is, and extend a loop into the center for the clock hands. I would look into buying a clock kit first, and sell it as a complete working clock rather then a DIY clock.

i have a tube epoxied to the side of it and ran the clock through i ground a little of the metal off the sign so the tubing had like an indent to rest in
