I am preparing to drop the chassis next month to change the rest of the mounts and bushings, do some work on AC lines and then rust proof it for the next 20 years.
I will sandblast first, but I have been debating galvanising vs epoxy prime + paint. My concern is that I haven't seen any example of a galvanised 100 (or 80 for that matter) frames. Seems to be a thing with 40, 55 and maybe 60s. It's the go-to solution for Land Rovers (especially in the UK) and have seen a couple of Patrols done too. Just no modern Land Cruisers
Is there an issue with the 100 frame? The steel?
I do not plan to weld anything to it, so that is not an issue for me. Galvanising seems to be cheaper than epoxy + paint, but it's a small difference that is of no concern.
