So I stopped by Harbor Freight on Friday as they were having a big parking lot sale. A lot of the HF stuff is absolutely worthless junk but I did end up walking out with a 12T press for just over $100, not bad.

Came in 2 boxes so I was gonna have to assemble which I finally got around to this morning during my 3rd cup of coffee. Everything was neatly packaged, bubble wrapped and the instructions were well marked and very easy to follow. All the parts were painted with a good thick coat of durable silver and nothing was left unchecked. Overall the assembly went very quickly and easily, I was done in about 30 minutes and had a fully functional press. I am thoroughly and completely impressed that HB got it right this time! Good job to the "slanty" eyes!!

Of course everything I've just said is total CRAP.

I noticed during assembly the whole thing leaned to one side and despite ratchet strapping the thing straight and then tightening the bolts it still would not stand straight. After giving it a good once over it turns out the brace that holds the 2 legs together at the bottom aint exactly a true 90* and would cause the thing contort pretty badly when the bolts were tightened down. So, guess I gotta cut off crooked part and fix before my press is usable.

Not just HB, I got a Torino Big Red 12T from Amazon and while the frame is square, the big pin that actually contacts to press is welded on crooked, so I haven't used it for any serious work cause I can't get a straight press down

Seeing if anyone is interested in buying a fj60. Has a 350TBI, and a bunch of extras. I am asking 15k. Pm me for more details and pictures.

There's a for sale section for this...

Still hitting the trail this weekend ?

Yup - weather pending but looks like about 5-6 of us.

Just for others reading the scheduled club ride the following week for Beasley is still on as far as I know.

Rock - AOP seems to be the park of choice given the lack of info and desire in the club for Aetna. I've got a screwy Friday brewing but expect to be heading up Friday afternoon/evening. I'll shoot you a text msg later in the week to firm it up.

dimpled speed holes. tryin' to get the engine/engine bay temps down in prep for moab.

I've been hitting AOP for 2 years and the more I visit the better I like it. Finally found the trail Nick sheered the hub bolts off of the Franken80 on our first trip but it was too slick to run, I tried.

That new (to me) section is called the free zone right behind camp and while not as big an area as Rattle Rock I bet it would give it run for rock size and challenge level. Place looks awesome, gonna need another truck to hit it with me next time.

Up until now, the pics I've seen of AOP have been good, but nothing that made me want to go out of my way (from across the country I mean) to get there.... But just these few pics posted up in the thread are beginning to change that. Looks awesome!

You'd really like AOP, lots of technical crawling sections but the Free-Zone we just found is serious. Like Rattle Rock, you could dedicate an entire day to that one hill with any number of lines to choose from. I wanted to try it but would've been a solo run as John's axle was leaking profusely from a blown axle seal and frankly, some of it was just too big for our rigs but it gives me a reason to go back.

Thank god there was no hysteria back in the day, this was such a great show as we watched every car chase with amazement...Hopefully YT does not delete and continue to erase history:flipoff2:

It's Toast, Wheeling is next!

Let's hope not.

Now, for those of you who believe everything you hear on the news as being fact... Pay close attention to the "writing" on the flag. At one point they even speculate that this is a potential warning of an ISIS attack. Don't believe everything you read or hear.

The media has gotten so dammed lazy and spouts off total garbage, it makes me sick. :flush:

CNN Mistakes Dildo-Covered Flag for ISIS...
