Hey guys - I am on the very tail end of parting out this 1974 FJ40 and it is time to put the rolling chassis up for sale. I have gone thru the PO's stack of receipts (I will provide them to the buyer) and it appears he has done the following:
Sandblasting and primer of the frame and axle housings
Possible POR15 of the frame (or he just bought the supplies)
Possible rebuild of steering arm and hubs (rebuild kits were purchased from TPI 4x4)
New shackles
New tie rod kit
The rolling chassis is still at the PO's storage so I have not been able to go thru the frame and or other components too thoroughly. I will have it hauled to my mechanic's shop this upcoming week.
What is included:
1974 FJ40 frame with valid TN title
Front and rear axles
Steering box and all related steering arms
4 wagon wheel rims with 31" rollers (I know they held air but I did not verify tread depth or wear)
Front bumper gussets and front bumper
2F engine (some peripheral will be provide with engine if not already sold)
3 speed transmission, transfer case and parking drum assembly w/ speedo cable
All related receipts and title
I need to verify if the rear cross member is still attached to the frame. I vaguely remember it being missing but I was moving quick loading up the haul. I will verify this week.
Asking $700 for the entire deal. As always, I will entertain offers and trades for a operation winch or soft top gear.
