Hello folks,

I recently blew/melted my fusible link on my rig and am searching for the replacement. The current one is completely black from getting cooked, so I cannot check its wire gauges.

It seems that the original part is discontinued (82210D), and other alternatives could be the 82210C which I'm also having trouble sourcing.

Does anyone know the amp rating for the 2 fusible links?

Or is there another Toyota or OEM fusible link that would work with this diesel engine?

Thanks!

Unfortunately there is no direct comparison between fusible links and amperage rating. I am currently in the process of replacing my original fusible links and my VW power distribution box with MIDI slow blow fuses. The idea behind both the fusible links and MIDI fuses is to allow some temporary overcurrent in the harness, but protect it from a short circuit situation that would otherwise melt the main harness.

I have a wiring diagram for JDM KZJ70 models, it is all in Japanese but it has fusible link gauges listed. Fusible link wire is available, you can use it to remake factory style links. The critical parts are fusible link wire gauge and overall length.

I think the fusible links should be a 1.25B, a 2.0G, and a 0.3P.

At this point i " Should " have all the more then various types of the needed OEM connector housings to go at the many many dozens of different Land Cruiser and other Vintage TOYOTA cars and Trucks Fusible Links set-up's

i would not surprise me if a new and never seen before connector surfaced ?

@rockwell421 , your use of : (82210D) 82210C , these are called call out numbers , and refer to a grouping NOT a specific Part / Part # itself .....fyi
i am glad you posted your modle year and Modle ID code also :

more then often your specific FRAME # is needed to narrow down fusible links , PM me your FRAME # Please when you see this please "
