My fuel pump took a dump, my guy wants $125 for the new OEM pump. Does this sound accurate? TIA!

MSRP is $133, so that's about right. Don't forget about the gaskets and insulator if you need one.

You should be able to get around 25 per cent off list pretty easily. Cruiser Dan, Toyota of Dallas, whatever.

Maybe I should switch to electric. Can anyone recommend something thats the same quality as OEM?

I'm thinking of going propane, people seem say go electrical with the fuel pump. Yay or nay?

Decide how you are going to use your rig. Build accordingly. Only go Propane if you want too. Don't just do it because someone else did.

I have 16 or 17 vehicles and each one has a purpose. I have my Rubicon Fun Rig. That is the one I take to the Rubicon and just drive it through. I have another rig that I take that I have to stack rock to get it through the Rubicon. I take this depending on who I go with. I have another rig built for hard trails. I have another rig built for camping and expedition. I ahve a rig for farm chores, I have a rig for going back and forth to the landfill and the salvage yard. I have another rig for Towing, etc, etc.

If you build the perfect rig for all of those, you will never "Get R Done!"

Please don't think I'm rich by any means. I am wealthey beyond your imagination since but only I have more friends than I can count on my exposed digits.

I've almost collected everything I need for the conversion, and I remember Mace mentioning that you need a electric fuel pump so I'm figuring nows a good time to switch over since my manual one took a dump.

I put on a Carter pump and I think they are OEM. Do a search and you should find more info. I think they are about 1/2 the price of Toyota branded part.

Is it eletric? Lemme take a look with the search function.

If you go electric we run a Oriellys part E2000 for an 86 Ferd V8 in our TBI 350 FJ40

Thanks, but I'm looking for something thats been used on a stock 60.

The carter pumps are OEM I thought . Mine came in a Carter box but had a Japanese name on the actual pump
Still got it,and it did about 10000 klms before I ditched the 3F:grinpimp:

Yea, from my reading last night I discovered they are manual pumps and are basically oem reboxed. And super reliable, but I'm leaning towards electrical. Anyone running an electrical pump on a stock 60?
