Fuel Pump Dead

Any ideas on the cause? I am taking it that it burnt out electrically and not mechanically.
 
Does it still cycle when you turn the key on, and just not build pressure, or does it make no sound? Could be a bad relay, fuse, wiring if it does not make sound. Mind you, I'm not a 200 series LC mechanic, but I did install a fuel injected 5.0 in my 76 bronco, so I know a bit about EFI wiring and such. Have you run out of fuel lately? That can mean death for an aging fuel pump.

@MEMCruiser , have you used a miltimeter on the pump wire to ensure that it is getting power?
