Fuel cap question

Early fuel cap question

Hi all.
This is the fuel cap that was on my 1968 fj40 when i got it.
Was just wondering if it's original or an after market item. Am going to use it either way, was just curious is all.

Appears to be stainless steel. have polished up one side just to see how it will come up.

Not sure of the cap. Guessing aftermarket but also old. Where in Tasi do you live? My Mom is from Irishtown in the NW. Beautiful island.

Also a pic of the key might help determine if it is OEM.

G,day mate. I'm in Bridport on the north east coast.
Don't have the key. Lock is buggered anyway. just noticed it was similar to a couple i'd seen here on mud
