I have one of those too. I thought it was the boot that came from the fresh air vent and went into the heater blower box...but it is not. Where does that thing go!?

Does it go from blower box into the cab?

I thought it is located on the driver side firewall, up high, to fender with a rod to a flapper that opens a vent to get fresh air into the driver floor board area.
